Smile

It's so hard when you feel sad about your Facial Palsy, when people are bullied they are told it's best to "laugh it off". What do you do if the part of you that should demonstrate your happiness is the thing that is making you sad?

But you do learn, as you get older, that however you smile, you do need to keep smiling, and it really doesn't matter what you look like, it's what is inside that really matters..

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
