Hi, I am considering having a platinum chain in my eye. I currently have an eye spring, but its causing a few problems. I would be so grateful to hear from anyone who has had a platinum chain inserted. I would also love to meet anyone thats had it done. I am so worried about having it done and making my decision as I would be sacrificing loosing the spring in my eye. But hope to improve it somehow.

Hi, please could you let me know how you are finding your platinum chain implant. I am considering having this surgery for my facial paralysis. I have an eye spring at present but its causing complications. Do you find that you are blinking with your platinum chain and how is the movement, would be so grateful to hear from you.

I was glad to read your blog and I hope that you are doing better now. It sounds like you had a reaction to the gold. I agree with the earlier post that platinum might be better for you. I am having the procedure done this Wednesday. I have had facial palsy since birth and I try not to dwell on it although it has affected my social confidence for sure.

First time I’ve replied to a blog and not sure if you will get this. I am 68 yr old and had BP aroundt 2 yrs old with residual paralysis of left side of face. Just had platinum implant surgery yesterday (9/6) on upper lid. So far so good, but little concerned about allergy to the weight, but time will tell. Found your information to be very helpful. Thank you.
